Conny Yael Barak
Born: 1937, Paris, immigrated to Israel in 1949.
Conny Yael Barak started painting only at the age of 65 and had her first solo exhibition 5 years later. Her paintings are mostly pastoral landscapes, running water and trees. Maybe her choices can be explained by the fact that she survived World War II as a hidden Jewish child, longing for a world full of beauty, harmony and tranquility.
